Terang & Mortlake Health Service has bestowed its highest honor; that of Life Governorship upon a long serving and dedicated volunteer, Mrs Susan Keane. The award was announced and presented at the Health Service AGM held on Wednesday November 15th, 2017.

Susan joined the Terang Hospital Ladies Auxiliary in 1970 and is still involved today. Over the period Susan and her fellow auxilary members have raised over $300,000 towards the purchase of vital new equipment for the health service.

Susan has been a meals on wheels volunteer for the past 48 years. For the last 17 years has regularly played the piano for our Mount View Aged Care residents and  Josie Black Community Centre clients.

Susan is also an integral member of the TMHS Community Advisory Committee, which meets throughout the year to assist with the development and review of documentation and healthcare information for patients, consumers and carers. This committee is also responsible in assisting with production of the annual Quality Account report and Susan plays a key role in compiling human interest articles for inclusion in this report.

With a service record spanning more than 48 years, Susan’s outstanding commitment and countless hours of volunteer work within our health service make her a most valuable recipient for the Life Governorship Award. The TMHS sincerely thanks Susan for her contribution and dedication to our Health Service.
